So apart from God Of War & Red Dead Redemption 2 winning multiple awards as expected, A lot more went down at this event like the announcements of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ft. Joker from Persona, Rage 2 release date, Fortnite: The Block, Mortal Kombat 11, PUBG’s new winter map etc. The announcement of all the game titles were probably the last thing that was expected for an awards show to cover at the show!
Here are the list of announcements and what that means to the us!
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Joker from Persona
Nothing to say really… I’m just overwhelmed.
- PUBG – Vikendi (PS4/XB1/PC)
Would you believe that! PUBG has heard us and has introduced a brand new winter map. Note that there are going to be a lot of bugs on the map initially but isn’t that a problem with every new map in every game?
- Scavengers (PC)
Scavenger is a product made by “Midwinter” and yes, it is another title entering the survival shooter genre. The trailer had an interesting approach that showcased a bunch of rangers crashing on to the surface of the earth from space. This multiplayer title will start its testing in 2019. #FingersCrossed
- Ashen (XB1/PC)
This is another Action RPG genre title that is getting its stealth release and shows a very promising gameplay.
- Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (PS4)
And finally here’s a title that is a “Playstation exclusive” and is probably one of the most awaited announcements at “The Game Awards 2018” show. “Crash” is back this time with “Activision” introducing multiplayer racing to its fans! This title looks very similar to Mario Kart, But hey why not have a similar title for everyone on playstation too! #June212018
- The Outer Worlds (PS4/XB1/PC)
So “The Outer World” seems like a fusion of Ratchet & Clank and Call Of Duty Zombies. Overall theres a lot going on in the trailer and I’m definitely giving it a shot!
- Rocket League ‘McLaren’ car pack (DLC)
McLaren 570S on a football ground? Sounds like best of both worlds to me.
- Rage 2 (PS4)
So all of us have already seen what Rage 2 is all about but there was a new trailer that was shown at “The Game Awards” show followed by the announcement of the release date for the game which is on 14th of May, 2019 #DoomLookAlike
- The Dread Wolf Rises (PC)
This is another instalment to the Dragon Age series and honestly the trailer didn’t show us a lot except for a single dragon that looked very detailed.
- Far Cry New Dawn (PS4/XB1/PC)
Ubisoft comes in hot with the brand new trailer for another Far Cry take called “New Dawn” which means the reaction of fans are going to be along the lines of “Oh look, It’s set in the aftermath of the nuclear warfare.”
- The Last Campfire (PC)
This upcoming title made by “Hello Games” features a lot of small creatures that are definitely not scary to look at and are on a boat searching for light? I am a little confused to what the trailer actually showed but nevertheless worth a purchase.
- The Pathless (PC)
Alright! So right of the get go, This titles name sounds absolutely amazing! The Pathless is an adventure genre game featuring some really good background music. A good name to a game alongside some exciting new instrumentals is working and has caught my eye for sure!
- Mortal Kombat 11 (PS4/XB1/PC)
I’m a fan already. Get your first brutality on April 23, 2019! #MK11
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order (Nintendo Switch)
So basically the trailer showcased IronMan, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine which got my attention but I wasn’t really excited until Thanos showed up out of nowhere and so I’ve kept my $60 aside.
- Hades (PC)
Now this is a game title has got a lot of attention, but is it for the game title or the developers? I guess we can find out by playing this ‘Action RPG’ title right now as it is available as an early access build in the Epic Games store for $19.99! #BattleOutOfHell
- Fortnite: The Block (PS4/XB1/PC)
So as everyone was calming themselves down from the new Season 7 winter themed map and new items to play with, Fortnite decides to pull up some more eyes and and keep the hype at an all time high by introducing “The Block”. This new mode basically allows all users to create their own custom map elements and place them wherever they’d like to using their own creativity. So if you reckon you are actually good enough to do so, why not give it a shot and get your creatives featured on the next season’s official Fortnite map!
- Psychonauts 2 (PC)
This title has a very unique storyline and its basically about kids with super powers. It reminds me of me watching cartoon network about 18 years ago. I would definitely pick this up to binge play on stream.
