Game tournament winners angered after their 25,000AED prize cheque bouncedPosted by Esports July 25, 2019 in
The winners of a recent mobile gaming tournament held in Dubai cry out after their prize money cheques bounced because of insufficient funds.
The tournament itself had as many as 12 teams from across the GCC and pitched in with 1,000AED each to register for a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament organised by Tentacle Gaming between the months of March and June of 2019.
After many intense battles of the course of months, Dubai’s Fratres Ad Vitam rose as champions of the tournament.
Last month. the winners were called to Deira City Center, where the Championship organizers handed them post-dated cheques worth 25,000AED. This consisted of 12,000AED to the title winner, 7,000AED to the first runners-up, 3,000AED to the third place and three consolation prizes of 1,000AED each.
However, the joy died soon enough as it turned out that all their prize money cheques bounced because of insufficient funds.
Calls to the organizers of Tentacle League remained unanswered. At the beginning of the tournament, Tentacle Gaming had claimed that the competition was aimed for scouting skilled players who could be trained to represent their country in national events.
